Year 9
Year 9 study the formation of the world around them. We begin with an investigation of Industrial Britain – the land of Jack the Ripper and then undertake a comparison study between the horrific conditions of the child workers of the Industrial Revolution and the Enslaved Africans. From here we look at the turmoil of the trenches and the First and Second World Wars – particularly from a Manx perspective. The year finishes with an investigation unit – did the 1960’s really swing?
